A New View Counseling and Psychological Services in Clear Lake, Texas offers a wide range of services for children and adolescents.

1. Screenings and Evaluations

For children from 12 months to 17 years, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, learning disabilities, dyslexia, and intellectual disabilities.

Therapy Session

2. Educational Consultation

To help parents navigate different educational options and understand 504 plans, educational accommodations, and special education programming.

3.  Child Therapy

Provided for children, adolescents, and teens from 5 to 17 years old. For children under 5, they prefer to work with parents in a parenting role.

4. Social Skills Group

Called "The Meetup" where children learn and practice targeted social skills with other children which include conversation skills, nonverbal communication skills, conflict resolution, behavior regulation, teasing and bullying, building friendships, and problem-solving.

5. Parent Training and Behavior Support Services

To help parents support their child's successes.

Becky Siekierski, PhD, LSSP, NCSP, is a Licensed Psychologist with extensive experience in evaluating and treating children and adolescents. She specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Early Childhood Developmental Disorders, Social Skills, and Parenting. She offers screenings, evaluations, consultations, and therapy services.

Penny Sweeney, MA, is a Special Educator with 20 years of experience in mental health and special education. She provides services such as Parent Training, In-Home Support, Special Needs Tutoring, Special Education Consultation, and IEP Support. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Erika Willis, MA, LPCS, LSSP, has over 15 years of experience in the public school setting, offering behavioral consultation and social skills counseling to children with autism, ADHD, and emotional/behavioral difficulties. She aims to help children express their feelings and problem solve effectively. She is a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology and a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Nicole Anderson, PhD, LSSP, is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. With 10 years of experience, she specializes in evaluating and treating children from preschool through adolescence. Her expertise includes autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, social-emotional behavioral disorders, and giftedness.

Heather Belzeski, MA, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for guiding children and adolescents. In working with individuals with autism and other developmental disorders, she brings a compassionate and tailored approach. Heather's commitment is to create a supportive and nurturing environment for her clients to navigate the complexities of their emotional well-being.

Heather is eager to work with children and parents on anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional and behavioral regulation, social skills and parenting. Her focus encompasses a wide spectrum, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional and behavioral regulation, social skills development, and effective parenting strategies.

Some childhoods are plagued by difficult and unpleasant emotions. Heather would love to work with your family to help ease the tensions in your household and in your child's well-being.

Lynz Costa, LMSW, believes in a holistic approach while helping clients manage anger, depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, codependency, family relations, faith-transitions, women- empowerment, and more. She provides a comfortable and fun atmosphere for children and adults to explore their strengths and challenges using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Play Therapy and other modalities based on client needs. She is an associate level therapist with an LMSW and is under the direct supervision of a fully licensed therapist. She is trained in Trust Based Relational Intervention, and has had amazing experience as an educator for seven years in the public school setting working with kids with special needs and behavioral issues. She believes in the inherent worth and strength of every person, and that therapy should feel like a gift someone gives themselves. She uses a supportive and client-centered approach to guide children and adults through life’s challenges in a gentle non-threatening way.

Carol is Practice Coordinator for A New View Counseling and Psychological Services. She has extensive knowledge in customer service and administrative duties. Carol oversees our front office and is one of our friendly team members that will be your first point of contact with A New View. She will patiently listen to your concerns and match you with the therapist that best fits. Whether it’s helping to problem-solve payment issues or addressing scheduling matters, she will make herself available at every opportunity. Carol ensures the office is running seamlessly and consistently providing high quality services to our clients.

Meet Cindy, our friendly administrative assistant and receptionist at the front office of A New View. Teaming up with our Practice Coordinator, Carol, Cindy ensures your experience with us is nothing short of pleasant. With a warm greeting and a helpful hand, Cindy is your go-to person for any questions or assistance you may need. Skilled at problem-solving, she's always ready to address your concerns and guide you through your visit with ease. Payments

​

  • The clinic accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Cigna insurance for parent consultation and child therapy.

  • The clinic no longer accepts insurance for psychological evaluations.

  • The clinic is out-of-network with all other insurance providers, including Medicaid.

  • If a patient wants to submit a claim to their insurance company for out-of-network services, the clinic can provide a statement detailing the services once the invoice is paid in full.

  •  Insurance coverage varies among different providers, and reimbursement cannot be guaranteed.

  • Self-pay rates vary based on the service provided (therapy, testing, consultation, workshops, groups) and the provider (psychologist, therapist, intern, educator).

  • The clinic offers reduced-rate self-pay options and pro-bono consultations for those on a limited budget.

  • Payment is due at the time of the appointment and can be made in cash, checks, or credit cards.

  • For evaluations, 50% of the fee is due at the first session, and the remaining 50% is due at the feedback session.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a fee. Last-minute cancellations and missed appointments will be assessed a fee.

  • Texas public schools offer free psychoeducational and psychological evaluations to students enrolled in public, private, and homeschool programs. Contact the clinic for more information on how to request these services through the local school district.
